About Sylva

Sylva Kanderal is a Swiss doctor and author born in the former Czechoslovakia. She studied medicine in Brno and received her second medical diploma from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She also ran her dental practice there. She graduated from the Schule des Schreibens in Hamburg, Germany, and attended the art school of the French painter Aime Venel in Zurich. She has exhibited her paintings in America and Europe and has won several awards. She has two children and lives and works in Florida, USA.
